Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy has an incidence upto 1:500 as per certain studies and has a propensity for sudden cardiac death. The proposed national registry of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy is aimed at compiling important information about the disease in India. Those centres interested in participating in the registry are requested to register their contact details so that they can be updated on the progress with the proposed registry. Dr. Barry J. Maron, MD, the world renowned expert on hypertrophic cardiomyopathy has kindly provided us with the structure of a database which is available on request.
